HÈRMES IN THE LAKE

The Atmosphere in 2014 Fabric and Wallpaper Collection Campaign

Equestrian Blue, Emerald Green, Laurel, Anise... Nature is woven into every thread of Hermès upholstery fabrics and wallpaper.

"Circuit 24". A contemporary take on the nautical theme of the chaîne d’ancre

"Jardin d'Osier". A fabric. A painting. Inspired by an Indian garden lush with flowers, shrubs and fountains, as far as the eye can see.

Strike graphic harmony with "Rayures Rocabar", "Ottoman", "Circuit 24".

"WE ARE NATURE"

ANDY at Work

We often forget that *we are nature*. Nature is not something separate from us. So when we say that we have lost our connection to nature, what we are really saying is we've lost our connection to ourselves. ~Andy Goldsworthy

“As with all my work, whether it's a leaf on a rock or ice on a rock, I'm trying to get beneath the surface appearance of things. Working the surface of a stone is an attempt to understand the internal energy of the stone."

WITH OSCAR DE LA RENTA

The American Fashion Idol, born in Dominican Republic

I wanted this, I wanted to do this, but my work is me, and it has to be right.

“Never, ever confuse what happens on a runway with fashion,” Mr. de la Renta once said. “A runway is spectacle. It’s only fashion when a woman puts it on. Being well dressed hasn’t much to do with having good clothes. It’s a question of good balance and good common sense.”

Regardless of how good or bad a collection might be, it's a letdown after the show is over. It's done. Something you've worked on for months is just over.

I like light, color, luminosity. I like things full of color and vibrant.

BAMA LOHAS CAFÉ

The Atmosphere in BAMA LOHAS CAFÉ by KENGO KUMA, Tokyo

The atmosphere is typical of old Japanese restaurant in Tokyo. Bama Lohas Cafe is designed by Kengo Kuma and Associates. The roof, the insulation of the room and the restaurant’s walls are decorated with wicker. Single lamp design is made with strands of dry bark. Classic furniture chairs and tables are also made of wood and varnish to taste. Good combination of restaurant design and furniture in Bama Cafe Lohas.
